BOOZER ELECTED TO NAIFA TEXAS OFFICE



NAIFA Texas is holding its annual meeting this week in San Marcos Texas.  During the meeting, attendees will be treated to great educational and sales oriented material.  This is the time when the group attends to the business of the association as well.  One of the most important business functions is the election of the officers and trustees for the coming year. 

In the annual elections held today, our own Lane Boozer was elected Secretary-Treasurer for the upcoming year.  

Boozer has served as a trustee for NAIFA Texas for 9 years.  During that time he has served as NAIFA Texas Pic Chair/Co-Chair, LILI Moderator, Non-Dues Revenue Chair, LILI Graduate, National Independent Advisors Task Force, and Ambassador of Good Will. 

During the 83 year history of NAIFA Texas, there have only been three situations where both a father and son have served as Secretary-Treasurer.  Lane becomes the third to have that honor.  Lane’s father, Don Boozer served in that capacity in 1983-84.

BOOZER CANDIDATE FOR NAIFA TEXAS POST


 

Lane Boozer, LUTCF - VP of Marketing for Don Boozer and Associates, Inc. has announced his candidacy for the position of 2012 - 2013 Secretary-Treasurer of NAIFA Texas.   Boozer has served as a trustee on the NAIFA Texas board since 2003.  During that period of he has served as NAIFA Texas PIC Chair and Co-Chair (2005-2011), NAIFA Texas LILI Moderator (2009, 2010 and 2012), NAIFA Non-Dues Revenue Chairman (2007-2011), LILI Graduate (2003), NAIFA National Independent Advisors Task Force and NAIFA Texas Ambassador of Good Will.  He has also served in many leadership roles for NAIFA Texoma and NAIFA North Texas.  

The election of officers will take place on July 24, 2012 at the annual NAIFA Texas meeting in San Marcos Texas.  

When elected, it will be just the third time in the 87 year history of the Texas chapter that a father and son have held the same post.  Lane’s father, Don Boozer served as Secretary-Treasurer of the (then) Texas Association of Life Underwriters during the 1983-1984 period.
